Complementary tools · The Journal

The Journal, a trader's psychological journal. When setting down words is enough to clarify.

Not a trading journal. Not a daily dump. A minimal space where you name what is happening inside you, in two moves. The writing does the work.

Why a journal

Some tensions are only named by writing them. Doing it is often enough to loosen them.

Before Hyvirtus, your trading journal (if you kept one) listed numbers, setups, regrets after the fact. Useful, sometimes. But heavy to maintain, and always in catch-up mode.

The Hyvirtus Journal is different. It does not ask you to recount your day. It asks you to set down a feeling and a few words, at the moment the need arises. That is all. It sits beside the Ritual, without replacing it.

What happens when you write what you feel is that your mind sees it differently. Putting words on a tension shifts it. Putting words on a doubt makes it readable. Putting words on a clarity consolidates it. The writing does the work, not the analysis.

Short moves. Nothing more.

How it works

Three sections. Deliberately minimal.

The Journal is built to stay short. Three sections, not thirty. That is what makes it usable at any moment of the day, without becoming a heavy routine.

01 · The feeling

Five chips, one to choose

Calm, Tension, Doubt, Focus, Clarity. No more granularity, because fineness slows the move. It is a marker for you, not an absolute truth.

02 · The words

A free text area

You write what is turning, what is pressing, what is floating. No imposed format, no prescriptive prompt. The implicit rule : you set down words, you clarify, you crystallize.

03 · The move

Crystallize

You click Crystallize. Your entry is fixed in the Thread of Awareness, dated, available later. You can Edit it if you want to refine. But nothing asks you to.

Concretely, here is what it looks like.

The Journal, as it is.

Five chips, a text area, one button. The form reflects the content : stripped down, direct, made to be used fast.

Your feeling

It is a marker for you, not a truth.

Journal rule

You set down words. You clarify. You crystallize.

Your words of the moment
Set down here what you feel, what is looping, what your mind is trying to understand...

Crystallize fixes your session of the day in the Thread of Awareness. Then you can Edit if needed.

Your entries stack up. The Thread takes shape.

The Thread of Awareness

A written memory. Yours.

Each crystallized entry joins a chronological thread : the Thread of Awareness. A written trace of your successive states, available whenever you want to reread what you set down at a precise moment.

This thread is neither a dashboard nor an analysis. You will not see stats there, no charts, no scoring. Just your entries set down in order, dated, readable.

Over the weeks, what you write reveals recurrences. Not by analysis, by evidence. The same words coming back. The same emotions dominating at certain hours. The Thread of Awareness does not point at them : it simply makes them visible. In the Timeline, these recurrences join the readings of your six pillars, which brings an overall trajectory into view.

Before going on, one last clarity.

What it is not

Four misunderstandings to clear up.

The Hyvirtus Journal looks from afar like several things it is not. To avoid the confusion.
